Sacrifice what you are for what you could become

"The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.".--Charles DuBois

What are you doing now?  What if an opportunity to do something you have always wanted to do suddenly and unexpectedly appeared in your life?  Would you sacrifice the tried and true that you are doing now for the unexpected?  Would you gamble on what you could become?  Or would you be afraid of the uncertainty involved with the change?  Are you afraid to gamble on the future?

Ask yourself what is the worst thing that could happen if I took the risk?  What is the best thing that could happen if I took the risk?  In reality it would be somewhere in between.

Then go someplace where there is peace and quiet and sit quietly for awhile and ask your inner self if this is what you should do.  Your inner self has all the answers.  All you have to do is sit quietly and ask for guidance.

Do not allow fear or insecurity to enter into the decision.  Keep an open mind and a sense of adventure.  You will know what is right for you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Do not cloud your vision with routine.  Allow yourself to become what you can and should become.

Make an opportunity today

"A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds."---Sir Francis Bacon

What if you feel that your opportunities do not exist?   Create them yourself.  Life does not usually hand you opportunities.  You have to seek them out. They are little gems hidden in rocks.  First you catch a glimmer of them and then you have to dig them out.  You may have been given the opportunity of seeing the glimmer but it is you who must go out with a pick and shovel and dig them out.  This is usually the way of life.

A lazy person ignores the glimmer, then he does not have to dig or work at it.  An opportunist sees the glimmer, puts in the work and discovers a valuable gem beneath that small glimmer.

Small things almost unnoticed can result in big opportunities.

Pay attention to the possibilities in your life.  Keep your eyes and ears open but most importantly keep your mind open for opportunities.

Let your creativity flow and be willing to put work behind your creativity so you can create your own opportunities.

The opportunities are there just open your mind to them.  Do not think a small opportunity needs to remain small.  It is yours to expand and make your own.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Today I will make an opportunity and expand it.

Enthusiasm: A little emotion that will make a big difference in your life

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity.  The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty." Winston Churchill

We have all met people who were pessimistic and those people try to spread this poison around to everyone they meet.  It becomes a daily ritual for them to complain about everything from the weather to their health. The more we listen the more negative we feel.

Stay away from those people if at all possible.  If you cannot, then substitute every negative statement with a positive one.  You may just think it in your mind but it is still a defense mechanism against their negativity.  They say it is raining and you think it is good for the garden and lawn.  They say we will all die from our polluted planet and you think it will not be in our lifetime and by then people will be preserving our planet.  They say the world is going to hell in a hand basket and you think there is so much good being done in the world by so many people.  You get the idea.

Really feel within yourself that something good is going to happen to you.

Get up in the morning with the feeling that today is a new day and new opportunities await you.  Eagerly anticipate new things that will be coming into your life soon.

See every event as a chance for happiness, success and a positive action sent by the Universe to improve your life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

I am eager for all opportunities and will make them into something positive.

The making of a golden opportunity

"The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself.  It is not in your environment, it is not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it is in yourself alone." Orison Swett Marden.

The golden opportunity we are always seeking must be provided by our own selves.  We can co-create our future with our attitudes and beliefs.

If we believe that we are going to do something or have something and then we act upon what we believe then we can make our beliefs come true.  We are then co-creating our future.

Act as though you already have whatever it is that you want.  BEHAVE AS THOUGH IT IS ALREADY YOURS.  Feel the confidence and knowingness.  Do not let doubt or fear creep into your mind.  Refuse to allow your mind to think of any negative thoughts. Know that you have the power to cocreate your future.  The future is yours. You want it. You deserve it. You expect it.

Once the positive energy is put into right action and you continue to behave and feel in the manner of having the ability to co-create your future then life suddenly opens up and a whole new world of possibilities awaits you.  You get to pick and choose what you want in your life and you have the ability to make it happen.

" The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will".  Vincent T Lombardi

You must will yourself to co-create and eagerly anticipate the outcome.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

I am the master of my destiny.
